Be Clear with your Message

Perhaps this was an attempt at irony? It always pays to ask a more literate friend if you're not sure about how a word is spelled or if you're using it in the correct context. 
Still it's unclear as to whether this is actually stroke of genius designed to make us all ponder the true message...
